The 1936 Lyngby vase, recast 1:1 in steel
To mark Lyngby Porcelæn's 90th anniversary, the fluted Lyngby vase from 1936 has been recreated one to one in stainless steel. The grooves and proportions match the porcelain original, while the metal gives the shape a cooler, rawer look. It comes in two heights, each in a gift box.

A one-to-one copy
Proportions and grooves follow the porcelain vase exactly.
A new material
Stainless steel brings a raw, modern finish to a 1930s shape.
Comes in a gift box
Each vase arrives in a gift box.
Two useful sizes
The 15.5 cm takes a few stems, the 20.5 cm a fuller bunch or branches.

A classic cast in steel
The Lyngby vase stood out in the 1930s with flutes that looked more like a classical column than a decorated vase. For the 90th anniversary the shape is kept exactly and moved into stainless steel.

What the metal changes
Light runs along each groove and reflects the room around it. The silhouette is the same as the porcelain, but the mood is cooler and more industrial. Next to a porcelain Lyngby vase, the steel reads as its cooler twin.

Using the two sizes
The small vase holds a few stems on a desk or bedside table. The large one suits branches or a loose bouquet, or stands empty as a sculptural object beside its porcelain twin. Group both for a stepped pair.
