The Marimekko Oiva / Unikko Jar is the tall white stoneware jar in the series, its Unikko pattern worked white on white and its cork lid marked with the Marimekko logo inside. Maija Isola drew Unikko in 1964, when Marimekko's collections were still dominated by abstract prints, shaping it as an abstraction of a flower rather than a likeness of one, and the poppy has stood for creativity ever since.
It is made of 100% whiteware with a lid of cork and wood in Thailand, holds 1.2 litres and comes in White. The material is food safe, so it takes flour, pasta or cereal, and the lid is best washed by hand.
