Omaggio: Stilleben's hand-painted stripes for Kähler
Omaggio, Italian for homage, is a vase series by Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft of the Danish studio Stilleben. Every vase is painted by hand with bands of stripes on a soft, curved body, so no two are quite alike. Omaggio Circulare remakes the shape from discarded earlier production.

Painted by hand

Stripes, softly
Stilleben found a new way of working with stripes in a modern, soft design. The bands wrap around organic, gently curved shapes, and because every vase is painted by hand, line widths and spacing vary a little from piece to piece.
Omaggio Circulare
Circulare keeps the classic Omaggio shape but is made from leftover material and discarded ceramics from earlier production. Each vase has two parts: an untreated top in natural grey and a lower half painted black by hand.
Build a group
Combine sizes for height, from the 12.5 cm vase up to 31 cm, and add the three miniatures for single stems. Mother of pearl and other finishes can sit together, since the stripe ties them into one family.

Stilleben is the Danish design studio of Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft. They designed the original Omaggio series for Kähler and later the Omaggio Circulare vases, which rework the same shape from recycled ceramic.
