A new story each year
Every edition has its own motif drawn from Nordic Christmas traditions.
Collect across years
Pieces from different years are designed to mix on one table.
A full table
Bottle, glasses, biscuit jar, tealight holders, Advent candle and bauble.
Paper cuts on glass
Frölich's fine silhouettes translate cleanly to clear glass.

How the tradition works
Each year Jette Frölich chooses one Christmas theme and draws a new motif for the series. Each piece belongs to one year's edition, so the series is easy to collect, and for many it has become a regular part of Christmas, as gifts or on their own table.

Motifs of recent years
The 2025 edition marked Holmegaard's 200th anniversary with a romantic Christmas of wreaths, Christmas roses and mistletoe, recalling the Danish Golden Age when the glassworks was founded. The 2026 edition follows Christmas fairies in dusty greens and pinks.

Setting the Christmas table
Use the bottle for schnapps or water, the hot drinks glasses for gløgg and the dram glasses for aquavit. The Advent candle counts down the days, and the bauble hangs on the tree. The biscuit jar holds Christmas cookies.
