The ferm LIVING Ryu Platter 18.5 cm – Sand / Brown takes its name from the Japanese word for flow, referring to the intricate, marbled patterns that run through the clay. Made using the traditional Nerikomi technique, in which two differently coloured clays are kneaded, rolled and cut by hand, each platter carries a pattern entirely its own.
Crafted from layered stoneware finished with a clear glaze, the platter measures roughly 18 x 16.5 x 2cm and is not dishwasher safe, so should be hand washed. As a handcrafted piece, patterns can vary significantly from one platter to the next, making each one a small, artful statement at the table.
