NJP-seinävalaisin tuo Oki Saton nendo-studiossa Louis Poulsenille suunnitteleman sarjan työvalaisinmaisen tarkkuuden kiinteään arkkitehtuuriin. Vuonna 2015 klassisen arkkitehtivalaisimen LED-ajan tulkintana julkaistu malli säilyttää tasapainotetut varret ja kallistuvan, savupiipun muotoisen pään – joka johtaa lämmön pois ja levittää samalla pehmeän toissijaisen hehkun takaisin varrelle – lyhyt- ja pitkävartisina sekä johdollisina tai kiinteästi kytkettävinä versioina.
Sängyn viereen asennettuna se korvaa yöpöytävalaisimen kokonaan: laske varsi alas ja eteen keskitettyä lukuvaloa varten ja taita se sitten takaisin seinää vasten. Se on yhtä kotonaan työpöydän tai lukunojatuolin yläpuolella, ja hillityt pinnat yhdistävät skandinaavisen ja japanilaisvaikutteisen sisustuksen. NJP: nendo's architect lamp for the LED age, 2015
Oki Sato of nendo designed the NJP series for Louis Poulsen in 2015 as a new take on the classic architect lamp. The mechanics stay visible, with exposed springs at the joints. A chimney-shaped head aims the LED and lights the top of its own arm.

Light where you point it
The head tilts and the arms move, so the glare-free light lands on the page, keyboard or bedside table.
A soft second glow
Some light reflects off the rear of the head onto the arm, so the lamp is never just a dark silhouette.
Many mounting options
Table lamps come with a base, a clamp or a pin; wall lamps come in short or long arm, corded or hardwired.
Switches itself off
Set the timer to turn the lamp off after 4 or 8 hours, or leave it off.
Mechanics on full view
Sato kept what made the architect lamp loved: a simple look that shows how it works. The exposed springs in the arm joints become a decorative detail rather than something to hide.
The chimney head
The head is shaped to direct the light, and its white-painted inside gives diffused, glare-free light across the desk. Light reflected off the back of the head illuminates the top of the arm, so the lamp glows softly too.
A family of sizes
The series covers table, floor and two wall lamps, plus the Mini of 2022 for bedrooms, cafés and small desks. The Mini is a downscaled NJP Table whose arm turns 342° around the base, with a head that tilts and rotates.

Powder-coated in white, black or light aluminium grey; wipe with a dry cloth.
Anodised aluminium joints
They carry the springs and keep the arm where you set it.
Steel base
The heavy base keeps the table and floor lamps stable at full reach.

nendo (Oki Sato)
Oki Sato founded the Japanese design studio nendo in 2002. The name is the Japanese word for clay, the soft modelling kind such as plasticine. For Louis Poulsen the studio has designed the NJP family of task lamps and the portable Tomoshi.

The Table for a desk, the Mini for a bedside or small table, the Floor beside a reading chair, and the Wall where you want to keep surfaces clear.
Can I dim it?
The NJP Table has two light levels; the Mini dims steplessly from 15% to 100% with the button on its head.
How do I mount the table lamp?
Use the base plate, a clamp for tables up to 45 mm thick, or a pin mount through the desk.
Can the wall lamp go on the ceiling?
No. It is made for wall mounting only.
Can the LED be replaced?
Yes, with a Louis Poulsen LED replacement kit fitted by an authorised electrician.
