The VL Ring Crown family, designed by architect Vilhelm Lauritzen for the Danish Broadcasting House in Copenhagen in the 1940s, is a true icon of Danish design. Featuring both wall and suspension versions, the collection showcases an organic form that complements the modernist aesthetic of the time. While the original VL Ring Crown wasn’t initially used at Radiohuset, it was later introduced and became part of the interior design of the Bing & Grøndahl porcelain factory in 1947, designed by Lauritzen’s colleague, Finn Juhl.
Reintroduced in 2019, the VL Ring Crown stays true to its original design, with shades crafted from triple-layered, mouth-blown opal glass, and a polished brass frame. Available with three, five, or seven shades, this collection creates a soft, diffused light, perfect for illuminating stylish interiors. The family exudes timeless elegance, making it a beautiful addition to both modern and classic spaces.
