The ferm LIVING Ryu Platter 37 cm – Sand / Brown takes its name from the Japanese word for flow, referring to the intricate, marbled patterns that run through the clay. Made using the traditional Nerikomi technique, in which two differently coloured clays are kneaded, rolled and cut by hand, each platter carries a pattern entirely its own.
Crafted from layered stoneware finished with a clear glaze, the elongated platter measures roughly 37 x 16.5 x 2cm, well suited to serving fish, sliced meats or a spread of appetisers. It is not dishwasher safe and should be hand washed, and as a handcrafted piece, patterns can vary significantly from one platter to the next.
