Kay Bojesen

Kay Bojesen (1886–1958) was the Danish silversmith who believed good design should smile. His hand-carved wooden Monkey from 1951 remains one of Denmark's best-loved design icons, joined by optimistic songbirds, elephants and the Royal Guard — all still produced by Rosendahl Design Group to the original drawings.
