The Marimekko Pieni Unikko Tea Towel is printed in Helsinki with the small-scale Unikko poppy and has a hanging loop on the long edge. Unikko was born in 1964, at a time when Marimekko's collections were made up mostly of abstract prints, and Maija Isola set out to draw something interesting from the floral theme; today the flower stands for creativity.
Woven in Estonia from a blend of 57% organic cotton and 43% linen, it measures 47 x 70 cm and comes in White / Dark Grey / Beige. Wash before use, follow the washing temperature given, and leave out the fabric conditioner; shrinkage is up to 6%.
The linen content makes it quick to dry glasses, and it hangs neatly beside aprons and pot holders from the Marimekko collection.
