From Lütken's hand
Per Lütken led Holmegaard's design for over five decades and drew more than 3,000 pieces. No. 5, launched in 1970, is one of the ranges Danes know best. Its clean shapes still look current more than fifty years on.
Tall, low and slim
The 30 cl beer glass is tall and narrow. The long drinks glasses come in 24 and 33 cl, wide and low for ice. The 5 cl shot glass is made for aquavit at a Danish lunch. All four are blown by mouth.
More than one use
Chill the shot glass briefly in the freezer before serving. The slim beer glass also works as a vase for a single stem or a few cut flowers on the dinner table. All four glasses are dishwasher safe at 55°C.

1916–1998
Per Lütken trained at the School of Danish Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen until 1938. He came to Holmegaard at 25 without ever having worked with glass, took over from Jacob E. Bang as artistic director in 1942 and led the glassworks' design until his death, with more than 3,000 designs.
