The Marimekko Oiva / Unikko Jar is a white stoneware jar with the Unikko pattern worked white on white, closed by a cork lid that carries the Marimekko logo on its underside. Maija Isola drew Unikko in 1964, when Marimekko's collections were still dominated by abstract prints, shaping it as an abstraction of a flower rather than a likeness of one, and the poppy has stood for creativity ever since.
The jar is 100% whiteware with a lid of cork and wood, made in Thailand, and it holds 0.7 litres in White. The material is food safe, which suits it to coffee, tea, sugar or biscuits, and washing the lid by hand is recommended.
