De ferm LIVING Hourglass pot geeft planten een verhoogde standaard en een ruime pot om in te groeien, met een volumineus silhouet dat opvalt hoe dan ook geplaatst. Dit Medium formaat is gemaakt van gepoedercoat ijzer met een matte afwerking, behandeld voor gebruik buiten, in Aluminium, Roest, Kasjmier of Zwart.
De pot meet Ø40 x H59 cm en wordt geleverd met twee rubberen deksels voor een goede afsluiting; verwijder beide bij gebruik buiten voor voldoende afwatering, en we raden aan een binnenpot te plaatsen. Kies bij gebruik buiten een beschutte plek, bijvoorbeeld tegen een muur, haal de pot binnen bij vorst, en houd hem vrij van water om roestvorming te voorkomen.

Hourglass Pot: a planter you can turn either way up
The Hourglass Pot from ferm LIVING has a voluminous, waisted silhouette that works both ways up: as a raised stand for a plant or as a roomy container for its roots. Four sizes run from 30 to 73 cm tall, in iron or aluminium, treated for indoor and outdoor use.

Stand or container
The Hourglass Pot narrows at the waist and opens at both ends. One way up it works as a raised stand, the other as a roomy container, and from every angle the outline stays full and sculptural.
Two lids, one choice
Each pot is fitted with two rubber lids for a tight seal indoors. Outdoors, remove both so excess water drains away, and use an inner pot. With the lids off, water runs straight onto the surface below.
Four sizes, four finishes
Extra Small is Ø21 x 30 cm, Small Ø30 x 42 cm, Medium Ø40 x 59 cm and Large Ø50 x 73 cm. Finishes are powder-coated Cashmere and Black, iron with a rust-like patina, and aluminium.

ferm LIVING was founded in Copenhagen in 2006 by graphic designer Trine Andersen, who started out because she was missing wallpaper designs for her new house. The Hourglass Pot belongs to its green space range, designed in the Copenhagen studio for plants indoors and out. The design is registered.

Can the Hourglass Pot stand outside?
Yes. It is treated for outdoor use; a sheltered spot near a wall or under a roof is best, and bring it in during freezing weather.
Do I need an inner pot?
ferm LIVING recommends one, especially outdoors when the lids are removed for drainage.
Does it drain?
With both rubber lids in place it is sealed. Remove them to let water drain, and mind the surface beneath.
Which way up should I use it?
Either. Choose the raised stand or the deeper container depending on the plant.
