IP20, binnen.

Louis Poulsen
BIG's cone, born in a museum in the dunes
Keglen grew out of the Tirpitz Pendant, the first lamp Louis Poulsen made with BIG Ideas, for the Tirpitz Museum that BIG built in the dunes at Blåvand, Denmark. Presented in 2020, it pairs a crisp aluminium cone with a curved diffuser that softens its built-in LED.

- 2017Year the Tirpitz Museum opened
- 4Pendant sizes, Ø 175 to Ø 650 mm
- 45°Rotation of the wall lamp shade
A hidden, glare-free LED
The curved diffuser sits in the cone and hides the light source from view.
Black or white
Two colours keep the geometry clean in any room.
A full family
Pendants in four sizes plus floor, table and wall lamps.
Smooth, stepless dimming
Pendants dim with standard dimmers; floor, table and wall lamps have stepless dimming with memory.

From the Tirpitz Museum
BIG designed the Tirpitz Museum for the Varde Museums, sunk into the dunes of Denmark's west coast. The pendant made for it led to Keglen, Danish for the cone, presented in January 2020.

The curved insert
A curved diffuser is built into each cone and seems to flow around the stem like a drop of water. It spreads the LED's light evenly, and it is the detail you notice first when the lamp is lit.

Where to use it
Small pendants suit a row over an island. The Ø 400 and Ø 650 light dining tables and large rooms. Floor and table lamps light reading spots, and the wall lamp turns 45° to send light up or down.
Materialen
Spun aluminium
Matt black or white; dust it with a soft, dry cloth.
Polycarbonate diffuser
The curved insert that softens the built-in LED.
Integrated LED
No bulb to change; pendants are phase dimmable with leading- or trailing-edge dimmers.
