De LP Grand Wall brengt de architectonische familie van Christian Flindt uit 2016 naar het verticale vlak: de gelaagde, gebogen ringen liggen als een stil reliëf tegen de muur, met een grote schuine reflector rond de diffuser zodat zacht gespreid neerwaarts licht zich mengt met indirect licht dat van de muur zelf terugkaatst — “de zon op een dag waarop ze door nevelige lucht gloeit”, in de verblindingsvrije traditie die Louis Poulsen sinds Poul Henningsen koestert.
Hij past in trappenhuizen, gangen en aan de muur naast het bed, en komt tot zijn recht waar vloer- en tafelruimte al vergeven is — per paar naast een bank of bed gemonteerd vervangt hij lompe lampen volledig. Combineer hem met de hangende of plafondversie van de LP Grand voor continuïteit, bekijk meer design wandlampen of de andere ontwerpen van Christian Flindt.

LP Grand: Christian Flindt's rings of light, 2016
Christian Flindt designed the first LP Grand for Louis Poulsen in 2016, a pendant for large rooms that takes up little space. Curved rings around a central diffuser mix soft downlight with reflected light. The 320 mm version followed in 2022.

No glare, only downlight
Light leaves through a diffuser hidden inside the rings, so you never look straight at the LED.
Light on the surface too
The angled rings bounce part of the light back onto the ceiling or wall for a soft glow around the lamp.

Choose the suspended pendant, the surface-mounted ceiling light or the wall lamp and keep the same form throughout a home.
Dims with standard dimmers
The Ø320 versions are phase dimmable with common leading-edge or trailing-edge dimmers.
Sunlight through mist
Flindt described the light he wanted as "the sun on a day, where it glows through misty air." The rings soften the LED so the light feels diffuse and calm, never sharp, whether the lamp hangs, sits on the ceiling or on the wall.
Rings around a diffuser
A large angled reflector encircles the central diffuser. Most light falls downward, glare-free, while the curved upper rings send reflected light outward. The lamp glows as a whole instead of showing one bright point.
Scaled for the home
The first LP Grand was made for large spaces. The Ø320 version of 2022 is 320 mm across and 90 mm deep, with warm 2700 K light and phase dimming, so it suits hallways, kitchens and living rooms.

Wet-painted aluminium
The outer shade comes in white, champagne or black and needs only a dry cloth to keep clean.
Built-in LED
The light engine and driver are integrated in the canopy or wall box, so there is no bulb to change.
Cord and three wires
The suspended version hangs on a 4 m cord and three wires that keep the rings level.

Born 1972
Flindt is a Danish architect and designer. He graduated from the Aarhus School of Architecture in 2002 with degrees in architecture and design, and founded his own design company in 2003. His work for Louis Poulsen treats light and form as one sculptural gesture.

Use the suspended pendant over a table or island, the surface-mounted version on a low ceiling, and the wall lamp for corridors and stairs.
Does it need a bulb?
No. The LED is built in, with the driver in the canopy or wall box.

Yes. The Ø320 versions work with standard leading-edge or trailing-edge phase dimmers.
Who should install it?
All versions connect to the mains in the ceiling or wall, so have a certified electrician fit them.
How do I clean it?
Switch it off, then dust the rings with a soft, dry cloth or a soft brush.
