The Toldbod family, developed by the Louis Poulsen design team, is based on Poul Henningsen's PH Ellipse reflector. The Toldbod 290 outdoor pendant debuted in 1982, followed by the Toldbod Glass indoor pendants and later, metal versions and larger editions in 2019. The design focuses on directing light downward, staying true to PH's philosophy of glare-free illumination. The matte, white-painted interior ensures even light distribution, making it ideal for both focused and ambient lighting. Its simple design offers versatility, working well on its own or in clusters.
