The Marimekko Pieni Unikko Acrylic Coated Placemat is a fabric mat printed in Helsinki with the small scale Unikko poppy and finished with a protective acrylic coating, so spills wipe away with a damp cloth. Unikko dates from 1964, when Marimekko collections held almost no florals: Maija Isola was drawn to the theme and designed a complete range of new floral prints, and the poppy now stands for creativity.
It is made in Estonia from 100% acrylic-coated organic cotton and measures 42 cm wide and 31 cm deep, in Plum / Cranberry / Off-White / Rose. Wash at the temperature given, reshape to dry and use a damp press cloth when ironing.
