The Neat Phone Pocket is a small crossbody case for your phone in the Unikko pattern. It closes with a zipper, has the Marimekko label and a keyring on the front, and hangs from an adjustable strap with a plastic buckle. Maija Isola created Unikko in 1964, at a time when Marimekko's collections included hardly any florals. Her abstract flower has since become an icon of print design and a symbol of joy and creativity.
The bag is recycled polyester and the strap recycled polyamide. Made in China, it measures 13 x 22 x 4 cm (W x H x D) and weighs 0.12 kg. Colours: Black / Gray and Red / Red.

Unikko on the move
Maija Isola created Unikko in 1964 as an abstraction of a flower, after Armi Ratia had kept florals out of Marimekko's collections. It has since become an international icon of print design, and here it covers light, packable bags.
A bag that packs itself
The S and M crossbodies have an inside slip pocket into which the whole bag folds. Take it flat on holiday and open it when you arrive, or keep it folded in a larger bag as a spare.

The Phone Pocket holds a phone and cards at 13 x 22 cm. The Crossbody S is a wide, low bag with a front zip pocket. The Crossbody M, at 29 x 40 cm, takes a book or a small tablet with room to spare.

1927–2001
Maija Isola joined Armi Ratia's company in 1949, before it was even called Marimekko, and designed for it until 1987. In that time she drew more than 500 prints. She painted Unikko in 1964 in defiance of Ratia's rule against florals, and Ratia ended up picking it for the collection.
