The Marimekko Oiva / Piccolo Mug is a white stoneware mug printed with the brushed Piccolo stripe. Oiva is the tableware series designed by Sami Ruotsalainen. Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi painted the striped Piccolo with vivid brushstrokes in 1953, the year she joined Marimekko, and three years later the Jokapoika shirt cut from the fabric reached the streets for good.
Made of 100% whiteware in Thailand, it holds 2.5 dl and comes in a White and Black colourway. The mug is food safe and can go in the dishwasher, the oven, the microwave and the freezer. Remove the sticker from the base before use, as it contains a small amount of metal.
