JUNA makes three organic cotton bed linen sets in the Danish 140x200 cm format that look similar in a product grid and feel quite different on a bed: Bæk&Bølge, Daisy and Pleasantly. This comparison sets out what separates them, from surface and closure to weight, so you can pick the one that suits how you sleep and how your bedroom looks.
Three sets, one format
All three share the same frame. Each set pairs a 140x200 cm duvet cover with a 60x63 cm pillowcase, the standard Danish combination, and each is made from organic cotton that is GOTS-certified and OEKO-TEX-labelled. All three can be machine washed at 60°C. JUNA itself recommends 40°C for everyday washing on Bæk&Bølge and Pleasantly, both to use less energy and to keep the fabric soft for longer, and that advice holds for any good cotton bed linen.
So the decision is not about size or certification. It comes down to three things you notice every night: the structure of the fabric, the pattern, and the way the set closes. The weight of each set, which JUNA lists for every design, is a useful clue to the first of those.

Bæk&Bølge: the wave you can feel
The name is Danish for "stream and wave", and the design takes it literally. Rather than printing a pattern on top of the cloth, Bæk&Bølge carries its wave in the weave itself, so the motif shows as a change in texture as much as a change in colour. Run a hand over it and you find a gentle relief, which is something no flat print can give you.
That structure explains the weight. At 1.19 kg, the Bæk&Bølge Bed linen 140x200 cm DK is roughly a quarter heavier than either of the other two sets. More yarn goes into a textured weave, and you notice it as a fuller, slightly more substantial hand. On a cold night it drapes heavily over the duvet and stays put; in high summer some sleepers will prefer something lighter.

Colour is the other reason people choose it. The two-tone combinations are strong: black/sand reads as warm and earthy, like a forest floor in autumn, while plum/rose and green/light blue are brighter and more decorative. The duvet cover closes with buttons and the pillowcase has an envelope closure, so there are no zips to catch on the cloth. JUNA designs its sets to be mixed, and Bæk&Bølge is the obvious anchor if you want to combine patterns across the bed.
Daisy: a small flower, stitched rather than printed
Daisy is JUNA's take on the classic floral. Instead of an all-over print, small flowers are embroidered in a contrasting colour onto the cotton: white flowers on the light blue version, for instance. The effect is quieter than a traditional floral and more detailed up close, since embroidery sits slightly proud of the surface and catches the light.

At 0.94 kg the Daisy Bed linen 140x200 cm DK is the lightest of the three. In practice that means a more supple, airy hand that suits warm bedrooms and people who sleep hot. The palette is soft (light blue, white/light blue, sand/white and yellow), which makes Daisy an easy choice for a child's room or a guest bed, and a calm one for a main bedroom with pale walls.
One practical point: embroidery deserves a little care. Washing inside out at a moderate temperature and avoiding a hot tumble dryer will keep the stitched flowers crisp and flat for longer.
Pleasantly: the smooth satin option
Pleasantly is the only one of the three made from organic cotton satin. A satin weave floats more yarn across the surface, which gives the fabric a smoother face, a slight sheen and a cool first touch when you get into bed. Where Bæk&Bølge is about relief and Daisy about detail, Pleasantly is about how the cloth feels against the skin.

Its weight, 0.95 kg, is almost identical to Daisy's, so the difference between those two is one of surface rather than substance. The Pleasantly Bed linen 140x200 cm DK also closes differently: both the duvet cover and the pillowcase have a zip, which keeps the bed looking tidy and stops the duvet from slipping inside the cover. The colours are green, white/rose and mustard, and the green in particular manages to feel fresh without being loud.
How to choose between them
- If you want texture and weight: Bæk&Bølge. It is the heaviest set and the only one with a woven relief pattern.
- If you sleep warm or want a lighter hand: Daisy or Pleasantly, both under a kilo. Choose Daisy for a crisp cotton feel with embroidered detail, Pleasantly for a smooth satin surface.
- If you dislike buttons or envelopes: Pleasantly, the only one with zips on both pieces.
- If you mix and match: start with a Bæk&Bølge set for its strong colours, then add a Daisy or Pleasantly pillowcase in a related tone.
Think about the room as well as the bed. A strongly coloured Bæk&Bølge combination gives a plain bedroom a focal point; in a room that already has pattern on the walls or a busy rug, the solid surfaces of Pleasantly or the small scale of Daisy are easier to live with.
If your duvet is a Swedish size
All three sets above are cut for the Danish 140x200 cm duvet. If your duvet is the longer Swedish 150x210 cm format, check the size before anything else, since a cover that is too short will never sit properly. JUNA's Monochrome Lines Bed linen 150x210 cm SE rose/white is made in that format, with fine, even stripes on organic cotton that give the bed a calm, graphic look in a similar spirit to the Danish sets. Measure your duvet, choose the format first, and then choose the surface you want to sleep under.
