Peter Bysted's 1975 bollard distilled Louis Poulsen's long tradition of civic outdoor lighting into a quiet cylinder: four downward-angled rings catch the beam and turn it toward the ground, so the fixture marks a path with pools of light while its own surface stays soft to the eye. The Bysted Garden Bollard brings that stepped silhouette to domestic scale in bolt-free, textured cast aluminium that resists patination, in two heights.
Set along a path or driveway it draws a calm rhythm of glowing rings toward the door; beside a terrace it lights an evening outside without flattening the garden's darkness — and because the light presses downward, nothing shines into windows or a neighbour's balcony.
