The Doo-Wop Pendant carries a piece of Danish institutional history. Introduced in the 1950s as the Navy Pendant — developed by Louis Poulsen with the Navy Buildings Department — it lit naval canteens and offices for decades before disappearing in the early 1980s. Revived in 2012 and renamed after the vocal music of its era, it is still made the traditional way: each double shade is hand-spun, with fine rolled edges that give the silhouette its soft, layered volume, while the white inner reflector directs light gently downward.
