The Flindt Garden Bollard scales Christian Flindt's signature gesture — the carved ellipse from which light washes down the bollard's own face and onto the ground — to residential spaces. Introduced in 2021 as part of Louis Poulsen's garden collection, the slender extruded-aluminium post keeps the 2017 original's quiet monumentality while shrinking the footprint, refined through software modelling, 3D printing and full-scale prototypes until light and shape became one gesture.
A single bollard beside a bench or doorway creates a calm pool of light; a row turns a path into a gentle procession — and because the light is directed downward, it marks routes without glare or light spill.
