The LP Grand Suspended is the purest expression of Christian Flindt's 2016 family for Louis Poulsen: open, curved rings that let part of the light wash upward while the rest falls as softly diffused, glare-free downlight — a contemporary descendant of the multi-shade glare control Poul Henningsen pioneered for the company. Flindt, an architect by training, scaled the same visual language from lobbies down to the 320 mm size that suits homes.
Hang it over a dining table, kitchen island or reading corner; because the rings spread light both up and down, ceilings feel higher — a quietly useful trick in compact apartments, covered in our guide to designer lighting for small apartments.
