Ceramic artist Anu Moser designed the Moser Pendant for Louis Poulsen in 2002, starting not from a shade but from the behaviour of molten glass itself — the soft drop that forms at the end of a glassblower's pipe. Each shade is mouth-blown in matt white opal glass, so the entire surface glows evenly with no visible bulb and no glare from any angle, and the patented mounting detail keeps the connection nearly invisible: a luminous drop floating in air.
Because the Moser is glare-free even from below, it is one of the easiest pendant lamps to place — hang one low over a bedside table or kitchen counter, or group several at varying heights for a constellation over a dining table or stairwell.
