The PH 4½-3½ Table Lamp is Poul Henningsen's three-shade system at its most stately: a 45 cm top shade and 3½ lower shades in mouth-blown, three-layer opal glass on a chrome-plated brass stem, introduced in this form in 1990. Every curve derives from the logarithmic spiral that won Henningsen gold at the 1925 Paris Exposition, catching light at a constant angle and sending it downward and outward while the bulb stays completely hidden.
That makes it a natural choice for a sideboard, writing desk, hallway console or generous bedside table, working as task light and evening mood light at once — and because the glow is entirely glare-free, you can sit beside it for hours without eye strain.
