Flindt Wall Lamp

Part of the Flindt series, the Flindt Wall combines exceptional illumination with a bold, sculptural design for indoor and outdoor spaces. Its carved-out form echoes the Flindt bollards — a perfect circle with a glowing light egress at the top casting a subtle ring of reflected light, appearing to float off the wall. Christian Flindt used software, 3D printing and metal casting to perfect the proportions across three sizes.

The Flindt Wall grew out of the design language Christian Flindt established with the original Flindt Bollard of 2017, whose carved ellipse of light became an instant signature for Louis Poulsen's outdoor range. Translating that gesture onto the wall demanded years of refinement: the disc had to appear weightless, the carved recess had to throw light evenly across its own curved face, and the whole form had to read as sculpture even when switched off. The result honours Louis Poulsen's century-old principle of designing the light first and the fixture second — glare is hidden, and what you see is a luminous crescent and its soft halo. Few wall lamps move between contexts this confidently. Outdoors, the Flindt Wall flanks entrances, gates and terraces with a welcoming glow; indoors, it brings architectural character to stairwells, hallways and living-room walls.
