LP Grand Suspended

Designed by Christian Flindt in 2016, the LP Grand was created for large spaces in keeping with Louis Poulsen's "Design to Shape Light" philosophy. Its curved, open rings provide glare-free direct and reflected light for a warm ambience — "the sun on a day, where it glows through misty air." The 2022 LP Grand 320 (320 mm) adds a warmer 2700 K tone and phase dimming, ideal for homes, hotels, offices and libraries.

Christian Flindt — Danish, born 1972, and an architect by training from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts — has collaborated with Louis Poulsen since 2008, and his work consistently bridges architecture and product design. LP Grand began as a lighting solution for large public interiors, scaled across several diameters so the same visual language could serve a lobby and a living room alike. The suspended version is the family's purest expression: open, curved rings that let part of the light wash upward while the rest falls as soft direct light, so the pendant glows rather than glares — a contemporary descendant of the multi-shade glare control Poul Henningsen pioneered for the company.

Hang the LP Grand Suspended over a dining table, kitchen island or reading corner; the 320 mm size with its warm 2700 K tone is especially well judged for homes.
