The NJP Floor Lamp is Oki Sato of nendo's reinterpretation of the classic architect lamp for the LED era, designed for Louis Poulsen in 2015. It keeps the honest, exposed mechanics of the 1930s originals — visible springs, articulated joints, a head that goes exactly where you point it — while the chimney-shaped head is pure nendo: it vents heat from the LED and bounces a little light back down the arm, so the lamp gently illuminates itself.
Stationed beside an armchair or sofa it is a superb reading light, the high-mounted LED keeping glare out of your eyes; it also reaches over a headboard where a table lamp would crowd the nightstand. A timer switches it off after 4 or 8 hours. Explore more from nendo or browse our floor lamps.
