The PH 3½-2½ Floor Lamp Centenary Edition celebrates a century of the partnership that began with Poul Henningsen's gold medal at the 1925 Paris Exposition. Every shade sits on a logarithmic spiral with the light source at its focal point — the System PH of 1926 — here rendered in lacquered aged brass left intentionally alive to deepen in patina, with a mouth-blown four-layer amber upper shade and three-layer white-opal lower shades made with the same craft techniques as the originals: a collector's piece that is also a fully practical reading lamp.
It rewards placement where its materials can be appreciated up close — beside a reading chair or sofa edge, where the amber upper shade washes the wall with a warm evening glow and the glare-free optic lets it sit close to seating without harshness.
