The Skot Wall Lamp is a true industrial artefact: developed in the early 1900s by Danish electrical pioneer Lauritz Knudsen (LK) for ships, every curve exists for a reason — the sealed die-cast housing keeps water out, the compact profile resists knocks, and the opal diffuser spreads a soft, even light. Architects quietly adopted the little ship's light for facades and summer houses, and since 2012 Louis Poulsen has produced it with an energy-efficient built-in LED, in symmetric or half-shaded versions.
As practical as wall lighting gets: mount it beside a front door, on a balcony wall or over a terrace bench and it will do its job year after year in any weather — its small scale suits compact entry nooks, and a row of two or three washes a wall evenly. See the Lauritz Knudsen collection or browse our wall lamps.
