The Yuh Wall Lamp distils GamFratesi's 2017 design for Louis Poulsen into its most space-saving form: the wall itself becomes the lamp's stand. The Danish-Italian duo — architects Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi — joined the lineage of Poul Henningsen with a cylindrical, adjustable shade that throws a glare-free cone of light downward while a slim top opening releases a soft ambient glow, on an arm of extruded brass.
Mounted beside the bed it replaces a table lamp entirely, freeing the nightstand for books and a cup of tea — angle the shade down for reading or toward the wall for a calm pre-sleep glow. In a narrow hallway, above a desk or flanking a mirror, it adds focused light without claiming a centimetre of surface.
