Yuh Floor Lamp

The Yuh lamp, designed by Danish-Italian duo GamFratesi for Louis Poulsen in 2017, is flexible and space-saving. Available in black, white, brass and marble, it offers customisable light through rotation, height adjustment and movement. The shade's geometry — circular at the bottom, linear at the top — reflects its minimalist aesthetic, while the name "Yuh" echoes the sound of "you", emphasising its personal, adaptable nature.

GamFratesi — Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi — built their studio on the dialogue between two traditions: the Danish instinct for craft and quiet function, and the Italian appetite for concept and expression. With Yuh they entered into conversation with Louis Poulsen's own history, above all the legacy of Poul Henningsen, whose lifelong project was shaping light so it serves people without glare. Yuh carries that thinking forward in a contemporary idiom: the shade rotates, slides up and down its stem and tilts, so the light goes precisely where you need it, while the cylindrical form keeps the glare under control. It is a designer's homage to the PH tradition that never feels like a copy — the same values, redrawn for how we live now.
