The PH 3/3 Pendant is Poul Henningsen's three-shade system in its purest, original proportions: a 30 cm top shade over middle and lower shades in the golden 3:2:1 ratio. Developed with Louis Poulsen in 1925–26 after his gold medal at the Paris Exposition, every curve is drawn from the logarithmic spiral so light is caught, softened and redirected three times before it reaches the room. Today it comes in soft-touch black aluminium, white opal glass, or a combination of both.
