The PH 5 pendant is Poul Henningsen's most famous design for Louis Poulsen: a three-shade pendant lamp that delivers 100% glare-free light, with small red and blue inner cones that subtly refine the colour rendering. Named after its 50 cm main shade, it is the definitive dining-table pendant.
Henningsen designed the PH 5 in 1958 so it would give soft, comfortable light with any bulb, its shade curves derived from his logarithmic spiral — and it has been in continuous production at Louis Poulsen ever since.
