Designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen around 1941 for Radiohuset, the Danish Broadcasting House in Copenhagen, the VL 45 Radiohus Pendant is a landmark of Danish functionalism. Its shade is mouth-blown in three layers of glass — glossy on the outside, softly glowing when lit — and hangs from a brushed brass fitting that Louis Poulsen leaves untreated, so it develops a natural patina over the years.
The even, warm glow makes this pendant lamp a flattering choice over a dining table or kitchen counter: the Ø 175 suits bedsides and rows over a counter, while the Ø 250 carries a small dining table on its own. See more pendant lamps or the full Louis Poulsen collection.
Light source: Ø 175: E14, max 20 W. Ø 250: E27, max 100 W. IP20, indoor. Bulb not included.
