The ferm LIVING Collect Pendant Low is a sleek, barrel-shaped fixture that forms the core of the Collect Lighting series. Used alone with a decorative bulb it creates soft, ambient light, or it can be combined with any shade from the Collect series to build a fixture suited to your own room and mood.
The pendant is made from powder-coated iron with a 3 metre fabric-covered cord, a matching canopy and a decorative ring. Available in Cashmere, White, Black, Brass and Light Grey, it measures 6 cm in diameter by 10 cm high and can be hung alone above a table or paired with a shade from the ferm LIVING collection.

Collect: build your own pendant from a socket and a shade
Collect Lighting is ferm LIVING's mix-and-match pendant system. Choose a socket pendant, Low, High or Bell, then add one of the powder-coated iron shades or the opal glass bell, or hang the socket bare with a decorative bulb. A ring finishes the join.

Light where it is needed
White interiors in the metal shades reflect light down onto a table or worktop.
Works bare too
A socket pendant alone with a decorative bulb gives soft ambient light.
Matching cord and canopy
Each socket comes with a 3 metre fabric cord and ceiling canopy in its own colour.
The socket at the core
Barrel-shaped socket pendants form the core of the series: Low at 10 cm tall, High at 17 cm and the wider Bell at 9 cm across. Each is powder-coated iron with a 3 metre fabric cord, matching canopy and a decorative ring.
A shade for every room
Disc at 12 cm and Hoop at 20 cm give accent light, Cone at 25 cm draws on Coolie and Empire shades, Record at 30 cm and Dome at 38 cm throw strong light downward, and Angle at 58 cm lights a dining table.
Glass or metal bell
The Bell Shade, 17 cm across and 18 cm tall, comes in powder-coated metal or in opal glass. Opaque glass was favoured in 16th-century Venice, and here it gives a soft, translucent light.

The glass Bell Shade diffuses light; wipe it with a damp cloth and a drop of mild detergent.

ferm LIVING design studio
ferm LIVING was founded in Copenhagen in 2006 by graphic designer Trine Andersen, who started out because she was missing wallpaper designs for her new house. Collect Lighting is a ferm LIVING concept from its Copenhagen studio: you pick a shade and a socket pendant and assemble a lamp to suit your room. Several shades are registered designs.

Which bulb does it take?
An E27 bulb, max 25 W incandescent or 13 W LED. The bulb is not included.
Do all shades fit all sockets?
Yes. Every Collect shade is compatible with every Collect socket pendant.
Which ring comes with the socket?
Low and Bell come with a chrome ring and High with a brass ring. The Collect Ring in Chrome or Black Brass is sold as an add-on.
Where can it be installed?
The European version runs on 220–240 V, is IP20 Class II and is approved for the EU, Norway, Switzerland and the UK.
Which shade suits a dining table?
Angle at 58 cm or Dome at 38 cm for a main light; Disc or Hoop for small accent light at a counter or bedside.
