The ferm LIVING Oyster Wall Sconce is a sculptural wall lamp cast in aluminium, its overlapping curved planes inspired by the shape of an oyster shell. The layered form emits a soft, diffused light and suits plug-in or hardwired installation, indoors and out.
It is made from 100% recycled cast painted aluminium and comes in Black and Light Cashmere, measuring 23 x 28 x 17.2 cm. The sconce takes an E27 bulb of max 12 watt LED, not included, and runs on 220 to 240V, 50Hz. It is IP65 rated for outdoor installation when hardwired, while the supplied 2.6 metre black fabric cable with on/off switch is for indoor use only. Approved for the EU, Norway, Switzerland and the UK only, with a separate version for the US. The design is registered.
Mount a pair either side of a bed or by a sheltered entrance, with wall pieces from the ferm LIVING collection.

Oyster is ferm LIVING's lighting family cast in 100% recycled aluminium. Its soft, lively curves recall oyster shells gathered at the beach, and the casting leaves a rough, distinctive surface that contrasts with the organic shape. It includes a table lamp, a wall lamp and a wall sconce.

Shaped like a shell

Shells from the shoreline
Oyster takes its form from shells gathered on a beach. The curves are soft and lively, while the casting gives a rough, slightly irregular skin, and that contrast between organic shape and raw surface is what makes each lamp feel sculptural.
Table and wall lamp
The table lamp, 25 cm wide, uses a dimmable 4 W E14 LED opal bulb that is included and gives a soft, cosy light. The 60 cm wall lamp has an integrated dimmable LED strip that throws light and shadow across its cast surface to show off the texture.
A sconce for any wall
The Oyster Wall Sconce has overlapping curved planes that diffuse an E27 bulb. Plug it in indoors with the 2.6 metre fabric cable and switch, or hardwire it outside, where it is IP65 rated for a porch or terrace.

ferm LIVING design studio
ferm LIVING was founded in Copenhagen in 2006 by graphic designer Trine Andersen, who started out because she was missing wallpaper designs for her new house. The Oyster lamps were developed by the ferm LIVING design studio in Copenhagen and are registered designs. Recycled aluminium and an organic shape set the tone of the collection.
