The Yuh Wall Lamp distils GamFratesi's 2017 design for Louis Poulsen into its most space-saving form: the wall itself becomes the lamp's stand. The Danish-Italian duo — architects Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi — joined the lineage of Poul Henningsen with a cylindrical, adjustable shade that throws a glare-free cone of light downward while a slim top opening releases a soft ambient glow, on an arm of extruded brass.
Mounted beside the bed it replaces a table lamp entirely, freeing the nightstand for books and a cup of tea — angle the shade down for reading or toward the wall for a calm pre-sleep glow. In a narrow hallway, above a desk or flanking a mirror, it adds focused light without claiming a centimetre of surface. Yuh: GamFratesi's 2017 lamp that moves with you
GamFratesi, the Danish-Italian duo Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi, designed Yuh for Louis Poulsen in 2017. The name spells the word "you" by sound. Its shade rotates, rises, lowers and tilts on the stem, sending glare-free light down and a soft glow up.

Light where you need it

Shaped by movement
The shade's form comes from the way it moves on the stem. It shifts from a circular base to a linear opening at the top, a shape you notice as you slide, turn and tilt it to send the light where you want it.

GamFratesi drew on the geometry of classic Danish design, including Arne Jacobsen and Poul Henningsen. Yuh carries their focus on shaped, glare-free light into a lamp you handle daily.
Floor, table and wall
The 140 cm floor lamp suits a reading chair, and the 61 cm table lamp a desk or sideboard. The wall lamp makes the wall its stand, which saves space beside a bed or a sofa where a table would be in the way.

GamFratesi
GamFratesi is the Copenhagen studio of Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi, founded in 2006 after both had worked at other practices. Their work joins Danish craft and Italian design culture, often drawing on classic Danish designs.
Using it at home
Does it need a bulb?
No. The LED is built in, with an external driver on the cord.
How do I dim it?
Use the button on the upper stem for stepless dimming from 15% to 100%.
What does the timer do?
It can turn the lamp off after 4 or 8 hours, or you can switch the timer off.

How do I clean it?
