The Marimekko Oiva / Unikko Teacup is a white stoneware cup from the Oiva series. Oiva is the tableware series designed by Sami Ruotsalainen. Unikko was created by Maija Isola in 1964 and has become an international icon of print design. Armi Ratia, who founded Marimekko, believed a real flower could not be captured faithfully in print, so Maija Isola drew Unikko as an abstraction instead.
Made of 100% whiteware in Thailand, the cup holds 2.5 dl and comes in White. It is food safe and suits the dishwasher, the oven, the microwave and the freezer. Remove the sticker from the base before use, as it contains a small amount of metal.
