The Marimekko Unikko Tealight Candle Holder 2 pcs is a pair of flower shaped holders that take the outline of the Unikko poppy. Unikko was drawn by Maija ja Kristina Isola in 1964, at a time when almost no floral designs appeared in Marimekko collections; Maija Isola was fascinated by flowers and went on to create a whole range of new floral prints, and the poppy has stood for creativity ever since.
The holders are made in Thailand from white stoneware with a blue glaze, and each one measures 10 cm across and 3 cm high, in White / Chestnut. Hand washing is recommended.
Set the pair along a windowsill or in the middle of the table, where the low flame picks out the petal shape, and add other Unikko pieces from the Marimekko collection.
