This heavyweight cotton sateen is printed in Helsinki with the Unikko pattern in its 60th anniversary version. Unikko stands for creativity and dates from 1964, when Marimekko's collections held almost no florals and Maija Isola chose to design an entire range of novel flower prints.
The fabric is 100% organic cotton with a sateen finish that lends the print a soft lustre, and its pattern repeat is a generous 213 cm. It is sold by the metre, in Blueberry / Off-White / Cool Blue. Wash with like colours at the stated temperature; shrinkage is a maximum of 4%.
The large repeat rewards long drops, so measure generously for curtains, and see the finished Unikko pieces in the Marimekko collection.
