VERPAN

VERPAN produces the lighting and furniture of Verner Panton (1926–1998), the Danish designer who broke with Scandinavian restraint in favour of saturated colour, geometry and new industrial materials. Working from his drawings, colour charts and original prototypes, the brand keeps designs of the 1960s and 1970s in production alongside later reissues.

The VP Globe Pendant Ø40 of 1969 suspends aluminium reflectors inside a clear acrylic sphere, so the source disappears and the light seems to float. The Pantop Portable takes Panton's dome-shaped shade cordless, while the Wire Floor Lamp and Wire Table Lamp set glass globes inside open metal cages.

Colour matters here more than in most catalogues: Panton treated it as structure rather than finish, which is why pieces are offered in the specific tones he set rather than a rotating seasonal palette.
