This Marimekko cotton carries the Kaivo pattern, printed in Helsinki and sold by the metre. Maija Isola had the idea for Kaivo, meaning well, in 1964 while fetching water: she dropped the bucket in and watched the rippling circles spread across the surface.

The fabric is 100% organic cotton with an 88 cm pattern repeat, and it comes in White / Black. Wash with like colours, follow the washing temperature given and allow for shrinkage of up to 4%. Made in Finland.
