This Marimekko cotton carries the blossoming Pieni Siirtolapuutarha pattern, printed in Helsinki and sold by the metre. Maija Louekari drew Pieni Siirtolapuutarha in 2009 as a variation on her Siirtolapuutarha, meaning city garden, a line drawing that tells of a journey from a bustling city centre out to an allotment overflowing with flowers and vegetables.
The cloth is 100% organic cotton with a 62 cm pattern repeat, and it comes in White / Green / Black. Wash with like colours, follow the washing temperature given and allow for shrinkage of up to 4%. Made in Finland.
Make it up into curtains, cushion covers or a tablecloth, and add the printed kitchen textiles from the Marimekko collection.
