The Marimekko Oiva / Unikko Plate is the smallest plate in the Oiva series designed by Sami Ruotsalainen, carrying the Unikko pattern. Unikko, which stands for creativity, was born in 1964, when hardly any floral designs appeared in Marimekko's collections; Maija Isola was fascinated by flowers and decided to create a whole range of new floral prints.
Made in Thailand from 100% whiteware, it measures 13.5 cm across, is food safe and dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer safe, and it comes in White / Black and White / Clay / Rose. Remove the sticker from the base before use, as it contains a small amount of metal.
Use it for bread, a slice of cake or as a saucer under a bowl, with tableware from the Marimekko collection.
