The Marimekko Oiva / Piccolo Plate is a white stoneware plate carrying the brushed stripes of Piccolo. Oiva is the tableware series designed by Sami Ruotsalainen. Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi painted the striped Piccolo with vivid brushstrokes in 1953, the year she joined Marimekko, and three years later the Jokapoika shirt cut from the fabric reached the streets for good.
Made of 100% whiteware in Thailand, it measures 20 cm across in a White and Black colourway, and it is food safe and suited to the dishwasher, the oven, the microwave and the freezer. Remove the sticker from the base before use, as it contains a small amount of metal.
Combine it with mugs from the Marimekko collection.
