This heavyweight cotton is printed in Helsinki with Piirto Ketunmarja, designed by Aino-Maija Metsola in 2018. The print includes golden metal pigment details, so the pattern shifts quietly with the light rather than sitting flat on the cloth.
The fabric is a cotton blend in which 25% of the cotton is recycled and 25% organic, with a pattern repeat of 88 cm, and it is sold by the metre so you can order the exact length you need. It comes in Off-White / Gold. Wash with like colours at the stated temperature; shrinkage is a maximum of 4%.
Use it for a festive tablecloth, cushion covers or a blind, to pair with pieces from the Marimekko collection.

庭のキツネたち
Ketunmarjaの舞台は夕暮れです。キツネがこっそり庭に入り込み、小鳥がイチイの枝にとまっています。Metsolaはこの情景に魅惑的で少し神秘的な雰囲気を与え、秋冬の部屋によく似合うものにしました。
2つの描き方
Pieni Ketunmarjaはキッチンテキスタイル向けの小柄バージョンです。Piirto Ketunmarjaはモチーフを繊細な線画にし、無漂白のコットンに金色の顔料でプリントしたもので、クッションやファブリックに使われます。
キッチンのための布
オーブンミトンと鍋つかみは、半分が再生コットンのコットンパナマ製で、中綿入り、吊り下げ用ループ付きです。キッチンタオルはオーガニックコットンとリネンの混紡で、グラスを拭いても糸くずが残りません。

Aino-Maija Metsolaは1983年生まれ、ヘルシンキを拠点とするイラストレーター兼デザイナーで、University of Art and Design Helsinkiを卒業しました。2006年からMarimekkoと仕事をしており、水彩、インク、マーカー、ガッシュで描きます。Juhannustaika、Jurmo、Sääpäiväkirjaシリーズも彼女の作品です。
