The Unikko Ceramic Vase carries the poppy in relief around its body, so the pattern is felt as much as seen. Unikko was born in 1964, when Marimekko's collections held almost no florals, and Maija Isola's decision to draw an entire range of flower prints turned it into the house's emblem of creativity.
It is made in Portugal from 100% recycled stoneware, which gives each piece a lively colour with small variations between vases. The inside is clear-glazed while the outside is left naturally rough. The vase stands 18 cm tall and 13 cm across, comes in Sandstone and White / Cranberry / Pink / Plum, and arrives in a Marimekko logo-pattern box. Wash by hand.
