The Unikko Vase presses the poppy into clear mouth-blown glass, so the pattern catches the light from every angle. Unikko, a symbol of creativity, was created in 1964 at a time when hardly any floral designs featured in Marimekko's collections, and Maija Isola went on to draw a whole range of flower prints.
Each vase is mouth-blown from 100% glass in Thailand, which means occasional small signs of craftsmanship and slight variation between pieces. It stands 18 cm tall and 13 cm across, comes in Cognac, Pink and Aquamarine, and is packed in a Marimekko logo-pattern box. Wash it by hand.
